Cranberry Orange & Onion Whipped Ricotta Dip

Set it at the center of your Christmas table, surrounded by torn bread and glasses of wine, and watch it disappear. The contrast of cool, silky ricotta against the glistening, ruby-red chili oil feels especially fitting for the season — rich, vibrant, and layered with warmth. It’s simple enough to prepare ahead, yet striking enough to shine as a holiday spread.

Whether you’re hosting an intimate Christmas Eve gathering or adding to a larger holiday appetizer board, this dip brings bold flavor without demanding your attention in the kitchen. It’s the kind of effortless, shareable dish that encourages guests to gather close, tear bread, and linger just a little longer.

When you’re ready to bring it to the table, all it takes is a generous swirl, a warm spoonful of chili oil, and a scatter of fresh herbs. The beauty of this dish is in its simplicity — a few thoughtful ingredients layered with intention.
